Join the Fight against cancer

We are proud to announce that Guy Cotten USA signed a marketing agreement with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) to promote this cause in the fishing community. This campaign starts October 01, 2016, just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and will last for 1 year. Guy Cotten USA will give 5% of their sales of rain gear, boots and fleece wear to BCRF ® and 10% of the “Fish in Pink” merchandising. You can read the whole press on our newly launched website (www.guycottenusa.com).

The Guy Cotten group is already working in Europe with groups such as Explore (www.explore-Jourdain.com) to encourage sustainable technological innovation and ecologically-friendly management of the marine environment. This new venture in the health sector is in the same company’s spirit of giving back to the community for a better future.

The company was directly hit three years ago by the passing of its founder and President Guy Cotten due to cancer. His daughter Nadine Cotten-Bertholom, new principal shareholder and President of the Group, who has been in the company for 20 years as CEO, is taking the same lead: keep most of the manufacturing in the plant of Concarneau, France, the fleece wear still being made in the location of New Bedford, Massachusetts, use as much as possible local suppliers, continue to innovate for the safety and comfort of fishermen, being involved in specific charitable projects.

The BCRF® invests in research that’s changing how we think about cancer. For every dollar spent, 91 cents is committed to tackling this disease. That means more answers, faster breakthroughs and treatment personalized for every patient. With more than half a billion dollars raised to date, that’s progress.

“As a woman running a family owned company I am proud to be able to contribute to this charitable cause; I will never thank enough the fishing community for their continuous support.”
Nadine Cotten- Bertholom
President of Guy Cotten Group
